Premier League fans will witness an exciting fixture this weekend with Man United vs Everton on the cards, watch the match live on Sunday, the 5th of October.

Van Gaal's appointment as the manager of Man United was seen by many as the beginning of a new era for the most successful club in England. Unfortunately for the club and the fans the Red Devils have started the new campaign just like they ended the last.

Out of the six matches United have played so far they have managed to record victory in just two and despite of spending a handsome amount on new signings in the summer transfer window, the Red Devils have failed to look like a side which could realistically finish in the top four by the end of the season.

Van Gaal's men have conceded nine goals in the six matches they have played so far but the former Netherlands boss has insisted that the defence is not to blame for the poor run of form.

"We have a lot of creative attacking players in our selection and I like that," he said.

"But I think also that you have the discipline to come back in a certain shape, because now we have conceded too many goals.

"I want to improve so that we don't lose the ball so easily. That's our problem, not our defence. We're losing the ball easily, but that's also the character of our team, because we have a lot of creative players and they need more discipline."

"So we're looking for a balance in attacking football, without thinking too much in only attacking, but also guarding your defence. I want that my defensive organisation is better but the defence begins in the striker's position."

"It's team work so, when we concede a goal, it's not only because of an individual error in the defence - it starts somewhere else, and that [is something] we have to analyse and improve."

Things have looked very bleak for Everton as well who have managed to win just a single match in the league so far.

The Toffees entertained a 1-1 draw in their last outing against Liverpool, when a stunning last minute goal from defender Phil Jagielka ensured that Roberto Martinez's men left Anfield with a single point. Everton will now be hoping to take inspiration from their good performance last time out to heap further misery on United and Van Gaal.
