Despite rumors of tension last season, all appears to have been resolved between the South American star duo.

Given the wealth of talent between Barcelona's talismanic attacker Lionel Messi and rising star Neymar, it's inevitable that many would assume that there would be tension between the duo.

After all, it was recently revealed that Liverpool's highly prolific pair Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez didn't always see eye to eye, but that does not appear to be the case with the Blaugrana's two star attackers, at least according to a player who donned the famous kit in the 1950's and 1960's.

"Initially, there did appear to be a problem between Messi and Neymar, but they have shown this season that there is no jealousy between them," former midfielder Luis Suarez Miramontes stated recently in an interview with Radio Barcelona.

No more issues: Despite reports of tension last season, the Brazilian and the Argentinian stars appear to be finally working in sync

"[Besides], Messi has been scoring goals and has also provided Neymar plenty of assists."

With Uruguayan star Suarez now joining them, the question was also whether the former Reds man would run into problems with Messi, but the retired Spaniard also feels that there won't be any issues with the player who happens to share the same name as him.

"The same thing will happen with Luis Suarez because of his style of play [and he] will realise that he needs Messi and Neymar [to succeed]."

Suarez could make his much-awaited debut in the upcoming Clasico clash with Real Madrid next month.
