Earlier today, Chelsea took on reigning Premier League champions Manchester City in what by far was this weekend's most anticipated fixture in Europe. And after a slow start that saw the first half end in a scoreless stalemate, things began to really get going in the last 30 minutes or so of the match.
First was hot-shot striker Diego Costa being involved in a bit of a fracas that saw Pablo Zabaleta given his marching orders, followed by Andre Schurrle's goal to give Jose Mourinho's men the lead.
However it turned out to be short-lived as former Chelsea icon Frank Lampard came back to haunt his former side with a great goal 5 minutes from the end of regulation time.
And given his popularity among Blues fans during his long tenure at Stamford Bridge, the reactions to seeing him in another kit were shocking enough, but to have him score against them was another story all together.
In fact, Lampard's goal, which the English star was quite classy in not celebrating against his former side, now ends Mourinho's perfect streak and leaves just a handful of teams remaining (Juventus, Barcelona, and Roma come to mind) that have a 100% unbeaten record still intact.
Here's how people reacted after today's 1-1 draw.
It still must be weird for Chelsea fans to see Lampard scoring while wearing another team's kit, and here's how some of them may have been feeling:
No celebration from Lampard, who was mobbed by his new team mates. Stunned silence from the Chelsea end, followed by some muted applause.

Class: Lampard refuses to celebrate against his former side, despite rescuing a point for 10-man City
Here are some very interesting stats, for those who are really into number-crunching:
Frank Lampard is the top scorer in PL matches between Manchester City and Chelsea with eight goals (7 for Chelsea, now 1 for City).

Only football makes stories like this. Frank Lampard makes it 1-1 vs his former club. This is Hollywood-script...

Frank Lampard doesn't celebrate the tying goal: he should have ran over and kissed Cesc Fabregas' badge.
