Arsenal haven't won a Premier League match since their last ditch effort on opening day against Crystal Palace. After their mid-week defeat in Germany against Borussia Dortmund, Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal fans will be expecting a reaction from the squad.
Traveling to Villa Park will offer the North London side a serious challenge, seeing as Paul Lambert's squad are undefeated.
With 10 points from four matches, Villa is coming off a confidence boosting victory at Anfield over Liverpool. The Gunners coming to town won't necessarily put them in their comfort zone considering they haven't defeated Arsenal at home from their last 15 fixtures.
The visitors do not have any new injury concerns from their Champions League match on Tuesday. Mathieu Flamini and Calum Chambers will return to the squad, and Jack Wilshere's slight knock turned out to be just a scare.
Paul Lambert will have more concerns ahead of Saturday's match.
Dutch international Ron Vlaar is in doubt because of a calf injury which has kept him sidelined. If he is unable to feature, Nathan Baker could get the start. Christian Benteke is also recovering from his achilles injury, and although he's back in training, the Belgian is not yet ready for competitive football.
