Las Aguilas have not been able to win in their last three matches. On September 20, Mohamed's team will face Pachuca, a team that has always meant bad news for America.

Following a record-breaking start, things have turned difficult for Club America. After five straight wins, Antonio Mohamed's team hasn't been able to earn three points in their last three matches, hoping things turn around againsta Pachuca to keep the tournament's top spot.

America's fans can't complain about not being entertained in this tournament. Each of their home matches has been decided during the final seconds, earning two wins against Tijuana and Morelia, and suffering a loss against top rival Pumas. On that matter, Mexican international Miguel Layun knows they owe a better performance to their fans, hoping that against Pachuca they can return to the victorious path.

"We owe ourselves a better performance. Our fans deserve a better show, and it's important for us to earn three points at home. We've had some time to work on some things that weren't working out, and we'll have to try harder against a very complex rival," Layun told reporters.

On the other hand, Pachuca don't care about America's current streak, they are just looking to improve their game, according to veteran goalkeeper Oscar Perez:

"This is a key matchup for us. I think we are well prepared to take on America, and if we earn three points, we know we'll be one step closer to making the playoffs. We expect the best version of America, and we have prepared for this match accordingly," Perez stated.

On these two club's last meeting at Azteca Stadium, Pachuca earned three points on a late goal by Hirving Lozano. Mohamed's crew will surely try to change the end result this time.
