According to reports, the star attacker is keen on leaving the capital club next summer, but there could be an issue.

If reports are to be believed, players like Angel Di Maria, Mesut Ozil, and Xabi Alonso aren't the only ones who will be ditching Real Madrid in favor of playing in another league.

Both Di Maria and Alonso made switches to Manchester United and Bayern respectively, and now there are some who believe that Cristiano Ronaldo may be the next high-profile departure.

The two-time Ballon d'Or winner was unable to hide his displeasure at his club's transfer policy this summer and despite arriving at the Liga giants in a blockbuster £80 million deal back in 2009, he still continues to speak fondly of his time with Di Maria's new team, Manchester United.

Looking back fondly: CR7 has described Old Trafford as his second home and has alluded to wanting a return

So, it's not surprising for the talismanic attacker to be linked with a return to Old Trafford, but with reports claiming that his current side would like £60 million for him, rivals Manchester City has also been touted as a possible destination.

This is especially due to the fact that Louis Van Gaal has brought in Monaco's Radamel Falcao on loan and would have to pay £54 million to have the Colombian remain on a permanent basis, as per English publication Sunday Express.

Meanwhile, British tabloid Daily Mail is running with the story that CR7 would demand a whopping £500,000 per week to make a switch to England. If true, this will dwarf the already astronomical £300,000 per week that Wayne Rooney earns and nearly double the reported £280,000 weekly pay packet received by Falcao.

Chelsea, as per the same report have also been touted as a possible option. Whatever the case, it will indeed be quite interesting as to what happens during next summer's transfer window.
