Los Blancos' record-breaking tenth Champions League trophy, alongside the UEFA Super Cup and Copa del Rey crowns has earned Los Blancos the title of best team in Europe

Real Madrid's success on the pitch has led to off-the-field recognition.

The Liga BBVA heavyweights were named European Club of the Year by the European Club Association (ECA) after their impressive 2013-14 season.

Los Blancos ended their 12-year wait to get their hands on another UEFA Champions League crown when they beat bitter city rivals Atletico Madrid 4-1 in the final in Lisbon to win a record-breaking tenth title, en route to La Decima.

But that was not their only accolade. A month prior, Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti led the club to a Copa del Rey title after beating Catalan giants Barcelona 2-1 at the Mestalla Satdium, as Les Merengues lift the trophy for the second time in four years.

Usher in the new season and Los Blancos were back to their winning ways, brushing aside La Liga counterpart and Europa League holders Sevilla 2-0 in the UEFA Super Cup clash in Cardiff, beating Unai Emery's men to cap off the calendar year with yet another trophy.
