After enduring their first loss of the Apertura 2014 against UNAM, Las Aguilas will return to the pitch against University of Guadalajara, who are dead last in the relegation standings

The first six weeks of the Apertura 2014 for Club America were all smiles. Now, after their first defeat of the tournament against UNAM, Las Aguilas went back to basics to recover some of the accuracy they lost in the past two weeks. Defensive midfielder Jesus Molina, one of the remaining players who won America's last trophy, stated the club has worked overtime to make things happen against their next opponent, University of Guadalajara:

"Sometimes there's no way you can score. We have been working on the attacking side, creating new ways to get to our opponents and being effective while doing so. We have been able to shoot eight to ten times in the last few matches, but we haven't been able to net the ball. During this break, we worked on that issue and we hope that we can score all of our chances on Saturday," Molina told the press.

The player born in Monterrey continued to talk about America's duties for this tournament, trying to stay focused on the top prize rather than feeling sorry for last week's loss:

"Unfortunately for us, we couldn't win our last match, but that's it. We can't keep feeling sorry for it; our main goal is to lift the trophy in December, and even though it was painful to lose that way, we still have time to get back on track. The team got used to win, and it has to be our duty to keep the good times coming, " Molina added.

Las Aguilas will have Argentinian Rubens Sambueza playing once again for them, after missing out the last two games, in which Club America only managed to earn one point with no goals scored.
