Brazil will face Ecuador at the MetLife Stadium in an international friendly on Tuesday, the 9th of September.

Dunga picked up a win on his second coming as Brazil notched a 1-0 victory over Colombia in their last outing. Neymar who picked up a horror injury last time the two sides met in the World Cup scored the solitary goal of the match as Brazil look to redeem themselves from their horrible end to the World Cup.

Brazil were rather unimpressive largely as the match seemed to be heading towards a goal-less draw until a moment of individual brilliance from Barcelona star Neymar settled the tie. The 22 year old scored a stunning free kick in the 83rd minute as the ball made its way past David Ospina’s goal as a result of which the match ended in Dunga and Brazil’s favor.

Bayern Munich centre half Dante praised compatriot Neymar and insisted that he will only get better, he further discussed Dunga’s appointment as the head coach of Brazil.

"Neymar is only going to get better," Dante said. "He has been one of the leaders of Brazil for the past two seasons. Hopefully he will continue to be successful for the national team."

"Dunga is the right man. He is a good coach and had a lot of success with the national team before. I hope he can be successful again.”

"Of course, we all expected him to make some changes to the team after the result at the World Cup. I just have to keep on doing my best for Bayern and hope I get another chance. It is clear that we will have some young players alongside more experienced names.”

"The last time Brazil won the World Cup was in 2002. There are a lot of factors one needs to take into consideration to win the World Cup. We must keep improving and get better in all areas."

Ecuador on the other hand will be in a buoyant mood having picked a comfortable 4-0 victory over Bolivia on Saturday courtesy of goals from Christian Noboa, Juan Cazares, Enner Valencia and Junior Sornoza. La Tricolor are now poised to play their second match under Sixto Vizuete who has taken the managerial post on a temporary basis following the departure of Reinaldo Rueda.
