According to reports, the only thing that stands between Chicharito and “The Old Lady” is Manchester United’s approval.

After being sought out by several teams this summer, sources indicate Javier Hernandez would have said ‘yes’ to a bid from Italian Champion Juventus.  Chicharito’s move to the Turin-based team would be announced in the following hours, after the Red Devils approve the transfer.

While Hernandez waits, United’s coach Louis Van Gaal spoke about the Mexican striker’s situation:

“I’ve given those players the opportunity to stay or leave until September 1st, it’s their choice to move or not. I’ve told him my opinion, and the player can do with it whatever he wants,” Van Gaal stated.

“I will not interfere in the transfer process, Ed Woodward is handling that situation. But if he asks what I think, of course I will speak my mind about those players I want to bring here and also about those who I think would be better off elsewhere,” the Dutch coach added.

Negotiations between the two parties may also include Arturo Vidal, who has been rumored to be close to signing with Van Gaal’s squad. If Hernandez leaves Manchester United, he’ll have to compete for a spot on the squad with strikers such as Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente and recently signed Alvaro Morata.

Meanwhile, Manchester United prepare their third match of the English Premier League against Burnley.
