El Tri will play against Chile on September 6th at Levi's Stadium. Three days later, Herrera's team will face Bolivia in the state of Colorado.

The Mexican Football Federation (FEMEXFUT) informed the player list for the upcoming FIFA Matchdays in September. Several players received their first call up, such as Chivas USA striker Erick Torres, defenders Luis Venegas and Oswaldo Alanis, and midfielder Antonio Rios. Experienced players such as Andres Guardado, Guillermo Ochoa, and Oribe Peralta will be rounding up Miguel Herrera’s crew.

Mexico will have thirteen players who represented their country coming back after their World Cup performance this summer. Some of the absentees include Javier Hernandez, who was left out so he can solve his possible departure from Manchester United, and Rafael Marquez, who recently joined Hellas Verona and is expected to retire from the National Team.
