Wenger looks to rob Barca of one of their hottest talents, 18-year-old attacker Munir El-Haddadi, dubbed "the next Messi"

According to reports, young Barcelona starlet Munir El-Hadaddi has caught the eyes of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, and has the Frenchman keeping tabs on the 18-year-old.  

The Spanish-born Moroccan attacker has been receiving rave reviews for his performances for the B-squad, and in his senior squad debut, he put in an impressive display, scoring a wonderful goal in a match where he was dubbed "the next Messi".  

The Gunners' long-serving manager has been attracted to the prospect of snapping up the youngster after the Catalan giants revealed a release clause in Munir's contract states £10m can prize .

Despite boasting goalscoring talents such as Chilean ace Alexis Sanchez, Lukas Podolski, Joel Campbell, Yaya Sanogo, and Theo Walcott, who is close to making his return from injury, the north London side are open to adding another attacker to their ranks after losing Olivier Giroud to a lengthy injury.

The 27-year-old Frenchman received a small fracture to his left tibia in a Goodison Park clash with Everton, and has now been ruled out until early January. Amid this revelation, Arsenal have been linked with an array of strikers, with Manchester United's Danny Welbeck and Queens Park Ranger's Loic Remy leading the pack.
