The Gunners didn't look particularly impressive in the first-leg, while Besiktas looked threatening at times. Watch live from the Emirates as the Turkish outfit looks to break Arsenal's Champions League streak.

A scoreless draw away from home against Besiktas will not be all that upsetting for Arsene Wenger. What will upset him most, will be the fact that he is without three of his starters. Two are unavailable due to injury, while the third is suspended.

Ramsey’s red card in Istanbul had Arsenal on pins and needles for the final stretch of the match, but they were able to come away without conceding.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain even had a chance to put the visitors up late in the match, had his shot not been deflected onto the post by the Besiktas goalkeeper.

We now turn our attention to the Emirates, where Arsenal have already won once this season, but that was in the Premier League. The beautiful pitch in North London will be an upgrade to that of where they played in the first-leg, which should allow the hosts to get into a passing groove.

But make no mistake about it, although they are playing in front of their own fans, Slaven Bilic’s squad is extremely organized, and they will make sure their defensive unit is on point. It will be up to the patience and experience of the Gunners to break down the Turkish outfit.

“Besiktas played very well against us and we want to show them that we can play very well at home too,” Arsene Wenger said on Tuesday.

“Of course our experience plays a big part. We have a big experience in the Champions League, big experience in playing high-pressure games. We can use that on Wednesday.”

They will need to use everything they have at their disposal, seeing as Olivier Giroud has been ruled out. It is feared that the Frenchman could have a broken ankle, but another scan today will show the final result.

In his absence, Arsene Wenger could choose to play a number of different players in a central role. New summer signing Alexis Sanchez can play the part, although it didn’t work out too well on Saturday against Eveton. Another option would be Lukas Podolski or Joel Campbell, while Yaya Sanogo is back in the squad and could feature from the start.

The visitors won’t have to worry about their star striker bring injured.

Demba Ba caused a number of problems for Calum Chambers and Laurent Koscielny in the first leg, but with Mertesacker likely replacing Chambers, the two central defenders will look to keep close tabs on the former Chelsea striker.

With nothing to lose and all the pressure on the shoulders of the Gunners, Bilic knows that the longer this match goes scoreless, the more frustrated Arsenal and their fans will become. If Arsene Wenger’s side is going to progress into the group stage for a 17th consecutive year, they will need to be extremely patient against a side that has high hopes of spoiling the party in North London.
