After enjoying a successful spell with AC Milan, scoring 30 goals in 54 games since his move to San Siro, Super Mario made sure to bid a heartfelt goodbye to the Rossoneri after moving to Liverpool

Italian striker Mario Balotelli posted a touching farewell on his official Facebook account to his former club AC Milan after sealing his £16m transfer to English Premier League side Liverpool.

The Azzurii forward joined the Rossoneri back in January 2013 after a series of bust-ups with former Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini during Balotelli's time at the Etihad.

At San Siro, the 24-year-old became a star player in a team that failed to live up to their legendary status in the world of football, scoring an impressive tally of 30 goals in 54 games for the Serie A giants, though failing to win any silverware.

But now, Super Mario, who was spotted in the stands for Manchester City's 3-1 win over Liverpool on Monday, will be plying his trade at Anfield alongside Daniel Sturridge and club captain Steven Gerrard.
