Costa scored the first goal of the game after 63 minutes

Matchday 2 of the English Premier League saw Chelsea's big signing of the summer, Spanish Diego Costa, boast the team for their second straight win.

After a first half with very few chances for both teams, Chelsea pounded Kasper Schmeichel with shots from almost every angle, but it had to be Diego Costa who scored the first goal for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this season. Mourinho's crew managed to score once again after 77 minutes, this time with Eden Hazard netting the ball.

Chelsea fans still had reason to celebrate when Didier Drogba returned to Stamford Bridge after playing in China and Turkey. The moment called for a standing ovation, which included The Blues' main man, Roman Abramovich.

Chelsea sits at the top of the league standings with six points and a +4 on GD. Leicester City remains with one point after two matches, with a GD of -2.

After the game, Jose Mourinho gave his thoughts on their second straight win:

"I told them at halftime the way we were playing wasn't good enough to win the game. The first half showed clearly we still have a lot to improve, but the second half was good. It is important not to lose points. I have to say well done to Leicester and Burnley because they both played to win,"Mou told the press.
