The first leg of the 2014 Supercopa de España takes place at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, August 19. Here is where to watch Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid live online or on TV.

This summer’s transfer window has been great for both Spanish capital-based clubs. While fans cannot wait to see more of James Rodriguez, Toni Kroos, Mario Mandzukic and company, the Spanish Super Cup is waiting to be lifted.

Real Madrid enter tonight’s clash as titleholders of the Copa del Rey, having defeated Barcelona 2-1 in the final with a stunning goal from €100M signing Gareth Bale. Atletico Madrid, on the other hand, are La Liga champions.

Last year, the Rojiblancos narrowly lost out to Barcelona in the Supercopa de España. This year, Diego Simeone will want to rectify that mistake. In addition, the taste of revenge is sweet and Atleti will want to humble their city rivals after dramatically collapsing in the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League final in Lisbon.

With nine Spanish Super Cup titles, Real Madrid are second behind Barcelona (11) as the most successful club in this two-legged contest. Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, have a far less enviable record; only one triumph (in 1985) and four heartbreaks as runners-up.
