The “Gunners” have not lost a game against Crystal Palace since Oct. 1, 1994.

Aaron Ramsey’s strike just as the clock hit the 91st minute gave Arsenal their first win of the season at Emirates Stadium against Crystal Palace. Arsene Wenger’s team had a tough opponent, but managed to earn three points in the dying seconds of the game.

During the first 45 minutes, the Gunners controlled the game and even enjoyed the best chances, but after 35 minutes, Crystal Palace managed to score the go-ahead goal on a header by defender Brede Hangeland , who contacted the ball inside Arsenal’s 5-yard box after a corner kick. Just before the halftime break, Laurent Koscielny netted a cross by former Barcelona striker Alexis Sánchez to even the score. 

In the second half, neither team was able to make an impact, even with Olivier Giroud on the pitch for Arsenal. Then, the course of the game shifted after a hard challenge on Nacho Monreal by Jason Puncheon, who was sent off the pitch.  Following the red card, Arsenal hurried down the pitch, sending crosses over Crystal Palace's box, until finally, after a loose ball off Julian Speroni, Ramsey managed to put the ball away and start pandemonium at Emirates Stadium.
