"Lord" Bendtner joins Vfl Wolfsburg on a three year deal after past experiences with Juventus and Sunderland

After only playing eight games last season with Arsenal, Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner has signed a three year contract with German side Vfl Wolfsburg.

Known for his antics on and off the pitch, Bendtner was praised by his new coach, Dieter Hecking:

"Nicklas is exactly the type of player we were looking for. He fits our profile and will strengthen the team, we want to have a good run in all three competitions we are in this season and for that we need players who know these challenges and are used to them," the Wolves’ coach told during the player’s official presentation.

Bendtner, a fan favorite for many years, stated he will wear number 3 on his shirt because “his mother told him to do so”.
