USMNT youngster will be joining the Spurs for a reported transfer fee of $4m.

A deal has finally been agreed between Seattle Sounders and English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspurs for USMNT player DeAndre Yedlin, as it was just confirmed by both clubs via their Twitter accounts and websites. Sources report that the transfer fee agreed for the defender was $4m while the lenght of the contract hasn't been disclosed yet.

After excellent performances coming on as a sub against the likes of Germany, Portugal and Belgium during Brazil 2014, Yedlin raised interest from various clubs but Tottenham decided to close the deal and make it official.

Official statement from Spurs mentioned:

“We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Seattle Sounders for the transfer of United States international right-back DeAndre Yedlin.”

Yedlin was not included on Seattle’s roster against Dynamo last Sunday and this increased the speculations about the potential transfer. Tottenham accepted the request from Sounders to let the player finish this MLS season before moving to London. The 21-year-old defender will join the Spurs for the 2015/16 Premier League season as confirmed by the club. Yedlin will join veteran goalkeeper Brad Friedel at Tottenham.

Sounders’ coach, Sigi Schmid, confirmed earlier that Yedlin would be featuring on Wednesday’s night match against Chicago Fire in the US Open Cup.
