According to reports, the Uruguayan is still a target for the Premier League, despite stating publicly that he will stay in Paris

Despite saying that he "wishes to stay" with PSG, Edinson Cavani has been linked with an exit throughout this summer's entire transfer window.

The 27-year-old just joined the Ligue 1 winners last season after proving himself at Napoli, and while his debut outing in France was by no means a failure, the player, who cost Les Parisiens over £50 million, has been rumored to be quite unsatisfied with his role within the side.

Cavani netted 20+ goals in all competitions for Laurent Blanc's men, but a big issue has been how he has been utilisized by the French coach--usually being deployed on the wing due to the presence of Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic. As a result, the Uruguayan has been linked with a host of clubs in the Premier League, including Chelsea and Manchester United.

And now, reports from England have Arsenal joining the queue of suitors. Gunners coach Arsene Wenger is apparently a fan of the PSG star, according to this journalist:

However, as with any big potential transfer, there is a caveat. Cavani's present employers, PSG, have been thwarted in their pursuit of Angel Di Maria due to financial constraints and could bring in some funds should they sell the attacker.

Yet, in the same vein, they will not let him go for cheap and it yet remains to be seen whether Wenger would be willing to splash the cash as they seek to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.
