Mexico’s head coach hopes Hernandez will get more playing time wherever he goes; considers Juventus a “fine fit”

Following the rumors of a negotiation involving Javier Hernandez, Mexican coach Miguel Herrera gave his thumbs up, considering “Chicharito” hasn’t seen much playing time last season.

“When a coach doesn't want you - when you have your best experience, your best moment with them, and now the coach that wanted you is no longer there - it's time to move”, Herrera said.

Coach Herrera, who classified Mexico to the final 16 for the sixth World Cup in a row, and known for his wild celebrations during the tournament, thinks a move to Juventus would suit the striker just fine, even if he has to earn a spot with teammates like Carlos Tévez, Alvaro Morata or Fernando Llorente.

“I think there are a lot of opportunities. They are not bad opportunities If he goes to Juventus, that would be an extraordinary team. Without a doubt, it would be a nice change for him. Hopefully he'll see more minutes”, Herrera concluded.

Meanwhile, and with his future still in the air, Hernandez prepares for today’s match at Old Trafford, where Van Gaal’s crew will do the honors to Spanish side Valencia.
