The new Red Devils boss is intent on totally overhauling his squad for the upcoming season, and this includeds shipping out those players he has deemed as dead weight.

After the disaster that represented their campaign last season, in which they went from being the Premier League winners to failing to make it into the top four, Manchester United have been keen on moving from it as quickly as possible.

The Red Devils have started off well under new coach Louis Van Gaal, who guided them to a successful pre-season campaign in the United States, and have been active in the transfer market as well, bringing in players like Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera as other veterans like Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, and Nemanja Vidic all departed for QPR, Juventus, and Inter respectively.

Still, the former Oranje boss is not done yet with modifying his squad, as they have been linked throughout the summer with bringing in more reinforcements, and naturally, for some to come in, others must depart.

Players like Marouane Fellaini, who has already been linked with an exit due to his poor performances in his debut season are among the crop who will not be featuring in the Manchester United jersey next season.

According to reports, the Belgian is not alone. Brazil's Anderson and Portugal's Nani are expected to depart Old Trafford; the former spent part of last season on loan with Fiorentina, but the Viola opted not to take him on permanently after failing to impress in Serie A. Alongside them is Nani, who has long been linked with a move to Italy with reigning Scudetto champions Juventus been reportedly interested for some time.

Additionally, Wilfried Zaha is another who will be moved on this summer, with the same report claiming that fellow Premier League sides Crystal Palace and West Ham, as well as Newcastle in particular been keen on his services.

Mexican international Javier Hernandez is another that has a whole crop of suitors after him ranging from squads in England, Spain, and Italy.

However, Japanese star Shinji Kagawa is the one that appears to have survived the purge at Old Trafford, with Van Gaal being keen on giving him a stay of execution. This is all despite falling further down the pecking order with the arrivals of Juan Mata earlier this year and now the aforementioned Herrera.
