As things stand, newly promoted side Caen is currently on top of Ligue 1's table after the first round of action, while title contenders PSG and Monaco are in 10th and 15th respectively. In the background, of course, for Monaco's fans is the transfer speculation surrounding the Colombian star and whether he will still be with the club at the end of this summer's transfer market.
However, for the time being, the focus will be on getting quickly back on track following the defeat as they hope to push PSG all the way in this season's title race, and they will be looking to get back to winning ways against
Another side frustrated by a newly promoted outfit was Lille, who were held to a 0-0 draw with Metz and will hope to do better against yet another former Ligue 2 side, Caen, in the first game of Ligue 1's second week of action.
