Barcelona will continue their preparations for the new season as they go against Finnish outfit Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi at the Sonera Stadium on Saturday, the 9th of August.

After a disappointing outing last time out which saw the Spanish side suffer a 1-0 loss at the hands of Napoli, the Catalans will be hoping to turn things around by putting a positive performance against the Finnish side.

The Spanish giants enjoyed much possession in the opening minutes and did create a number of goal scoring opportunities. However an error from new signing Claudio Bravo saw Barca concede the only goal of the match which resulted in them losing the match. The Chilean made a fine save from a Marek Hamsik header earlier but his error surely put him under the limelight as he continues to challenge for the number one spot alongside Barcelona new boy Marc-Andre ter Stegen who has made a strong case for himself to replace Victor Valdes between the posts.

The 31 year old was quick to accept full responsibility for the goal but claimed that making mistakes is just part of the game.

"I was enjoying a comfortable match and the little that I had done was comfortably dealt with," he said after the game.

"The goal was my mistake, definitely a lapse in concentration. You have to learn to live with these things. I haven't had a lot of time to train, but that's no excuse.”

"It's not the first time it has happened and there is no goalie who has not made mistakes."

Coach Luis Enrique also backed his new signing and claimed that the Chilean had done reasonably well prior to conceding the goal.

"He was having a solid game, without doing anything silly. He saved a great chance from them and did well with the ball at his feet," he said.

The former Celta boss however expressed his concern over his forwards’ inability to record a goal in the match against Napoli.

"We’re not going to analyse anything, other than the fact that if the strikers had converted their chances then probably we wouldn’t be talking about this right now."

Ivan Rakitic was another Barcelona player who made his debut for the blaugrana. The Croatian who was signed from Sevilla after a stellar season with the Europa League winners was a constant threat on the ball and Barcelona fans will definitely be excited to see more from their new signing.
