PREMIER LEAGUE NUMBER OF THE DAY: 9

Nine goals were scored in the biggest win in Premier League history, when Manchester United defeated Ipswich Town 9–0 (March 4, 1995).

NBC Sports Group will once again make all 380 games from the Premier League available in the United States. All games will be preceded and followed by Premier League Live pre- and post-match shows from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.

New Season, New Teams: Leicester City

Leicester City earned promotion to the Premier League in dominant fashion, amassing 102 points (nine more than second-place Burnley) to win the Championship title. While the Premier League isn’t new to Leicester City supporters, the Foxes have gone a decade without participating in the top flight of English football.

The 2014-15 season will be Leicester’s ninth in the Premier League and current club owner and chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has ambitious plans to keep the Foxes in the top division for years to come.

Current manager Nigel Pearson is serving in his second stint as Leicester City boss, having previously held the position from 2008-2010. Pearson returned to the club in November 2011 when the owner lured him away from Hull City.
