Xavi's time with the Catalan side is growing less as the influential midfielder looks set to join New York City FC

Barcelona's legendary midfielder Xavi moves closer to crossing the Atlantic Ocean to join Major League soccer side New York City FC as the Spaniard nears a Camp Nou exit.

The 34-year-old maestro could join former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, who will reportedly be announced later this week, however, La Furia Roja veteran will have to negotiate a payoff with the Blaugrana.
