The former Chelsea midfielder will now try luck in America with MLS side NYC FC

MLS fans will soon have yet another international star plying his trade in the United States.

NYC FC has already secured the signature of former Atleti striker David Villa, while Orlando City has Milan midfielder Kaka on their books.

And the newly established New York club will now add yet another familiar face to their roster in the form of Chelsea's midfielder Frank Lampard.

The 36-year-old England international, who is the all-time top scorer for the Blues with over 200 goals in 13 seasons, was released by his club this past season and also took part in the Three Lions' World Cup campaign this past June.

According to Sky Sports, the veteran player has chosen to make America his next destination for one last swansong before calling time on a highly decorated playing career that made him a fan favorite during his lengthy tenure at Stamford Bridge.
