UEFA have announced their ten man list for the Best Player in Europe Award, and there are some names that will obviously be of no surprise to fans.

Despite being unable to win the World Cup with Argentina as they were defeated 1-0 by Germany thanks to Mario Gotze's late goal, Lionel Messi finds himself on the list, as is his international teammate Angel di Maria.
Bayern Munich's German trio of Thomas Muller, Philipp Lahm, and Manuel Neuer all earned themselves spots, as did their Dutch colleague Arjen Robben.

Of course, although Portugal didn't even get out of the group stages, Cristiano Ronaldo still earned his spot after winning this year's Ballon d'Or and his strong performances with Real Madrid during their domestic and continental campaigns.
