Internazionale officially presented Nemanja Vidic from Manchester United.

On Friday, Inter presented their newest signing, Nemanja Vidic from Manchester United. The Serbian player joined the Manchester club in 2006 and during the 8 years in England, he won 5 Premier League titles and 1 Champions League. The defender stated:

I should have arrived to Italy many years ago. Finally I have the opportunity to play here. Italian football suits my game well and, as I said before, I have joined one of the big European clubs.”

When asked whether he was disappointed about not playing in the Champions League, Vidic reminded:

“Even if I had stayed at United I would not have played in the Champions League," Vidic said. "We will play in the Europa League […]Inter is one of the top clubs in the world, with a great history and tradition. There was a new project in place and I immediately liked it.”

Former Spartak Moscow defender, announced:

“When Inter made an approach, there were many other clubs interested in me but not AC Milan. I'm happy to be here.”
