Manchester City are reportedly trying to renew Nasri's contract, while keeping away teams interested in an unhappy Negredo.

After an incredible season with Manchester City, Samir Nasri is ready to renew with the club. It is believed that a verbal agreement was entered, but the two parties need to agree on certain details.

Despite not having made France’s 23-man squad, the French offensive midfielder had an impressive campaign with the Citizens. Nasri scored 7 goals in 34 match appearances, including a goal against West Ham that helped his team clinch the title, and a goal in the Capital One Cup final, which Man City ended up winning.

Meanwhile, Alvaro Negredo is believed to have a foot out the door. The Spanish striker had a good season with Pellegrini, scoring 23 goals during his first season. The 28-year-old however, was forgotten by the manager toward the end of the season and failed to leave with Spain for Brazil.

After discovering the striker’s discontent, Atletico Madrid started monitoring the player. Negredo joined the Citizens for a little over £20M last season and the Rojiblancos believe they can snatch him as Diego Costa’s replacement, with an offer around £24M. But Manchester City maintains that the player is not for sale.
