According to Spanish outlet MARCA, Real Madrid have finally won the race to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos

La Liga giants Real Marid look to have beaten Manchester United and Chelsea to the signing of Bayern Munich midfield star Toni Kroos.

Reports from Spain claim Los Blancos have reached £20m (€25m) deal with Die Roten for a Kroos move and that the player will arrive at the Bernabeu next season.

The 24-year-old midfielder was offered a bumper deal by the Bundesliga champions to improve on the Bavarians playmaker's current contract, which runs to an end next season, but is believed to have turned down the offer in favor of an Allianz Arena exit.

The two sides began negotiations on Monday over a deal for the German ace and came to an agreement only 48 hours later, according to MARCA.

This comes after both player and agent cooled down rumors of a deal with the Champions League holders.

“There is no agreement, neither with Real Madrid nor with any other club,” claimed Kroos' agent Volker Struth."

“Right now, Toni is playing in a World Cup, which absolutely stands in the foreground. There will be no news to give before it ends.”

“Now’s not the time to talk about that sort of thing,” Kroos argued when asked about the Real Madrid rumors.

“My mind is focused on Germany and the goal of winning the World Cup. That’s what’s important right now.”

“I’ve got a contract with Bayern ’till 2015 and over the last five months I’ve had plenty of similar situations. When it’s not Real, it’s United. They’re great teams, just as Bayern is. If there’s a decision to be made, it’ll be after the World Cup.”

Inside Spanish Football report both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will wait until afer the World Cup ends to officially unveil the deal, as per the player's wishes.
