NBCSN’s Major League Soccer coverage this weekend features the California Clasico, when the San Jose Earthquakes host rivals LA Galaxy on Saturday, June 28, at 10:30 p.m. ET from Stanford Stadium in Stanford, Calif.

Saturday is the first meeting between the rivals this season. The Galaxy are led by midfielder Landon Donovan, who became MLS’ all-time leading goal scorer with 137 career goals last month (topping Jeff Cunningham’s 134 career goals).

COMMENTATORS: NBC Sports Group’s lead play-by-play announcer John Strong calls the match joined by former English footballer Robbie Mustoe and host Russ Thaler.

Strong on San Jose Earthquakes vs LA Galaxy: "This is the perfect way for MLS to come back with a bang from the World Cup break. San Jose and LA make up one of the classic rivalries in league history, and their games the last two years at Stanford Stadium produced some of the best drama we saw each season. Add in a rejuvenated Landon Donovan, another massive crowd, and everyone's pent up excitement to get back to business, and we should be in for some fun on Saturday night."
