Belgium needs a point against South Korea to assure themselves of top spot in Group H; South Korea must win to have any chance of progressing to the next stage.

The Belgians will look to match the likes of the Netherlands and Colombia by winning all three games in their group. The talent available to them makes them favorites to win almost any match aside from those against European and South American powerhouses.

Considering their tag as a dark horse, Belgium's performances have been largely disappointing. Slightly conservative tactics from Marc Wilmots along with nerves saw Belgium concede to Algeria early on in their group opener. The substitutes eventually settled that game for the Belgians with two late goals.

In their second match, Belgium once again had to rely on substitutes. They were a tad lucky overall in that match; they could have easily been a goal down by the time Divock Origi struck. Only two minutes of normal time were left anyway when Origi found the back of the net. The match itself had been boring, hardly a testament to the skill set of the Belgians.

Winning is what matters at the end of the day though and the Belgians have done so. With a point against South Korea, they will be able to secure top spot in their group. In fact, they might not even need to do so provided Algeria do not win their game. Their opponents, South Korea, is coming into this match with very slim hopes. They must defeat Belgium to have a chance to qualify for the next round. If they do win, they have to better Algeria's goal difference if Algeria secures a draw against Russia or better Russia's goal difference if Russia beats Algeria.

South Korea has been surprisingly poor in this World Cup. They played well against Russia and deservedly took the lead but had to hold for a draw after Russia equalized. Algeria capitalized on their errors quite easily and tore them apart in the first half of their match although the Koreans did give a better account of themselves in the second half. Overall, South Korea has to perform consistently over 90 minutes to earn any points against Belgium.

Can the Asian side shock the Europeans?
