The Ivorian FA confirmed rumors involving the death of Ibrahim Toure, the brother of Yaya and Kolo Toure. The official statement read in part:
“Kolo and Yaya Toure just heard about the death of their young brother, Toure Oyala Ibrahim. The entire Ivorian delegation want to show their support to the players.”
The younger brother of Yaya and Kolo Toure, Ibrahim, played as a striker
The 28-year-old, despite never reaching the level of his brothers, was also a professional football player, who played for Egypt's Misr El-Maqasah and Lebanese side Al Safa as a striker.
