After being held to a dull draw with Iran, Nigeria are hoping to turn things around against a tricky Bosnian side.

With Argentina sitting alone at the top of Group F, Nigeria will surely be ruing their missed chances to also earn all three points in their first fixture. Despite controlling much of the ball, the Super Eagles were frustratingly thwarted time and time again by their opponents, who pretty much parked the bus for the majority of the game. Indeed, Iran seemed content to play for a draw, with nine men behind the ball and rarely even bothered to venture out of their own half to test goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama save for one notable instance near the end of the first 45.

However, Stephen Keshi's men only have themselves to blame, as their lack of quality in the final third did not do them any favors against a team who were content to sit back and absorb as much pressure as possible. And, given that their next opponent will be Argentina, who are the clear favorites to finish top spot, they will hope to make amends from their poor showing in their first game, especially since Lionel Messi & Co. are expected to dispatch Iran to move to six points within their quartet.

However, the Bosnians will not make it easy. The World Cup debutants had hung on impressively after conceding an own goal, and despite Messi eventually finding the back of the net, they still valiantly attempted to come back into the game with a goal of their own. As they are dead last in the table, they would have taken note of the insipid draw between their upcoming opponents and the Iranians, and will be hoping to turn things around as they aspire to go as far in the tournament as possible.
