Korea face off against Russia in the second game for Group H, after Belgium successfully powered past Algeria.

Korea, who will face off against Russia to open their World Cup campaign, are coming into the match after a highly discouraging result in their friendly. Hong Myung-Bo's men were subject to a 4-0 thrashing by fellow tournament contender Ghana, but nonetheless are appearing in their 8th straight event.

Additionally, fans will be buyoed by the fact that Korea have won their last three World Cup opening matches, but they will be facing off against a squad who have posted consistently good results. Under  Fabio Capello, the Eastern European side have not lost a match in 10 games played. Moreover, Russia managed to finish top of their group, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal.

While they are not the same team that featured in EURO 2008, they still have become a solid outfit with the Italian at the helm and their opponents are largely a very young side with vastly less international experience. One thing that they will have in common, however, is one eye on the result from the Belgium-Algeria clash, which finished in favor of the Europeans and so whichever side wins tonight can move quickly to top of their group.
