News concerning the fitness of players in Portugal's camp has not been very positive but Paulo Bento has been able to select a strong line-up to face Germany

Less than 24 hours after witnessing Messi's stunning solo goal against Bosnia, football fans will turn their eyes on the reigning FIFA Ballon d'Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo. Although football is a team game, superstars end up grabbing most of the public's attention.

As confirmed, Ronaldo will play against Germany but it remains to be seen how he will perform individually. "Obviously I’d like to be at 110 per cent but I’m still at 100 per cent and I think that’s enough to help that national team," the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League topscorer was quoted as saying.

As for the Germans, the absence of Marco Reus has taken away some shine away from their squad. The world was looking forward to seeing the Borussia Dortmund star dazzle in the flanks on the field but an unfortunate injury ruled him out of the 2014 World Cup.

So it's Ronaldo IN and Reus OUT ahead of this Group  G opener. Here are both teams' respective starting line-ups:

Portugal's XI: Patricio; Coentrao, Pereira, Pepe, Alves; Moutinho, Meireles, Veloso; Nani, Ronaldo, Almeida

Germany's XI: Neuer; Boateng, Mertesacker, Hummels, Höwedes; Lahm, Khedira, Kroos; Özil, Müller; Götze
