After weeks of speculation, ex-Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas signs for his former North London side's English Premier League rivals, Chelsea

This is a deal most Arsenal fans would liked to have not seen gone through.

English Premier League side Chelsea have completed the signing of former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas on a five-year deal. The midfielder was subject to loads of speculation over a Stamford Bridge move but only now has become official, joining the London side on a reported £30m fee.

The Spanish midfielder signs for Chelsea from La Liga giants Barcelona after the 27-year-old experienced a tough time where he had become the scapegoat for the Catalan side's disappointing season.

This also comes after Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, opted against signing back their former captain after the Frenchman informerd Barcelona he would not be activating the buy-back clause that was placed in Cesc's contract during his move from London to Spain.
