Daniel Sturridge was the victim of a shameful act as the Liverpool striker performed poorly against Honduras

England played their last pre-World Cup preparatory game on Saturday, against Honduras, as the Three Lions get ready for their 2014 World Cup campaign in Brazil, aiming at clinching the trophy for the first time since 1966.

Roy Hodgson's men weren't up to par against the Central American side, though, as the friendly ended in a 0-0 draw, much to the frustration of the European side.

However, for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, it was an even more frustrating match as the former Chelsea and Manchester City forward was guilty of wasting many goal-scoring opportunities for his national side.

And as the match drew to an end, a shocking incident happened involving the 24-year-old. As the Three Lions forward went to receive a ball that went out of play, he was hit by a beer can allegedly thrown from the stands by an England supporter. Watch the video below.
