Although Borussia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan just renewed his contract with BVB until 2016, the midfielder recently revealed that he is not afraid of leaving Germany behind.
In an interview to Kicker magazine, the German player talked about his future, which could possibly involve a move to Barcelona. The skipper stated:
“Although I have been out of action, very big clubs have expressed an interest in signing me. And in reality, there are loads of people who think I would fit in perfectly at Barcelona.”
Gundogan would function very well at Camp Nou, due to his passing ability and individual skills
Gundogan’s words could hold some truth, especially considering how poorly Barca’s midfield has performed this season. Busquets’ disappointing performance was alarming at best. Moreover, the Catalan club has no options, with Song still not impressing.
The BVB midfielder failed to make the final 23-man squad that will leave for Brazil
The German talent has numbers that would impress most clubs, including Barca
