Cristiano Ronaldo famously hugged a man after Real Madrid's Champions League final triumph in Lisbon. And since, two reports - both false, it is said - on the story behind that heart-warming embrace have come out

As the whistle came down on the UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, with Los Blancos winning 4-1 after extra time, Cristiano Ronaldo ran to the crowd to affectionately hug one special man in the stands.

Immediately after, rumors emerged of the man being the Portuguese winger's old friend Albert Frantau, with an inspirational tale of how Frantau sacrificed his own football career so the Ballon d'Or winner could move to Sporting as a teenager.

This, though, proved to be false as it later appeared to in fact be Ronaldo's brother, Hugo Aveiro, who is the man charge of Les Merengues star's museum in Madeira.

Yet another inspirational story was behind this scenario, as Gazetta dello Sport, and many other football newspaper, revealed that his brother, just like Ronaldo's father, is an alcoholic, much to the dissent of the Real Madrid star.

The two reportedly made a pact in which Hugo agreed to quit his usage of alcohol and go sober if Portugal's all-time leading goal-scorer won La Decima for Los Blancos. And as the Madrid side clinched their 10th European title, and Ronaldo ran off to his sibling, the ex-Manchester United man embraced his brother, allegedly saying:

“I fulfilled my part of the pact, so now you do yours: stop drinking.”

However, it appears falsified yet another time as AS.com report that there is “no truth” to the believed pact story between the two, stating that “Cristiano Ronaldo and his brother Hugo are furious” over the claims.

AS.com even went as far as saying that Hugo Aveiro is looking at taking legal action over these “completely untrue” reports.
