Two sides who drew their latest respective fixture – Roma and Cagliari – will lock horns on Friday night in the first Serie A game of February.

Second-placed Napoli will host Catania in one of Saturday’s two matches. They could go level on points with Juve. The Old Lady, who signed striker Nicolas Anelka earlier this week, are in search of more creativity upfront. They played out a 1-1 draw against Genoa last weekend and must now find a way of defeating Chievo on Sunday. 

Milan supporters, still buzzing from their much publicized signing of Mario Balotelli from Manchester City, will flock the San Siro Stadium for their side’s battle against Udinese. This encounter scheduled for 14:45 will provide the last action of Matchday 23.

On Sunday, Francesco Totti’s Roma will look to pursue their 2013 renaissance. The Giallorossi have the upper hand going into next week’s Coppa Italia second leg match against Internazionale. In the meantime, they could grab their first Serie A win of the year away to Bologna.

Chaos and disappointment have installed themselves again in the camp of Milan. This is in the aftermath of their Coppa Italia quarter-final exit to Scudetto champions Juventus in midweek. The Rossoneri, who have a tough task against Barcelona in Europe, are still aiming for a Champions League zone finish in the Italian Serie A. 

However, they are locked in seventh position ahead of this weekend’s tricky trip away to Sampdoria who spoiled Juve’s 2013 beginning with a 2-1 comeback win on Matchday 18. The 20th round of matches in the Italian Serie A has a lot to offer as clubs try to take the shine away from Conte’s men.
