Mallorca vs Osasuna Match Preview
Estadio Son Moix, Monday 3.00PM
This game will close Matchday 33 on Monday night in the Balearic Islands. Mallorca will already know Sevilla’s result before they play, however this will matter very little as Gregorio Manzano’s team will need a win to continue dreaming with playing Champions League football next season.
The Mallorca team has recently complained against the poor refereeing they have been faced with in the last few games. In particular the disallowed goal against Arduriz in the Zaragoza game, a goal that would of permitted Manzano’s team to win and go three points ahead of Sevilla. It goes without saying that the fans will try and put pressure on the referee in order to help their team.
Osasuna have nearly achieved their objective this season, which is no more than survival. Currently with 38 points they lie in eleventh position, nine points above the drop. However knowing Camacho the team will not take the game in a relaxed fashion and will look to make Mallorca’s life difficult.
Camacho will look to be more solid at the back after he was very upset that the team let in two goals midweek. In midfield we may see the return of Iranian playmaker Nekounam, who seems to have made a speedy recovery from his sprained ankle.
