Valencia vs Athletic Bilbao Match Preview
Estadio Mestalla, Thursday April 15th 4.00PM EST
The game to close Match Day 32 is an absolute classic in Spanish football and both teams this season have been two of the best teams of the league. Valencia currently in third need points to secure the Champions League and to recover from the defeat against Mallorca which saw a tense moment at the end of the game between manager Unai Emery and playmaker Ever Banega. Mestalla is a stadium with little patience and if Valencia were to lose don’t rule out seeing the white handkerchiefs come out in sign of protest.
Bilbao on the other hand are in great form and have all the right to dream with playing in Europe next season. They are currently sixth and only three points away from the Champions League but cannot allow themselves to slip up as they have Villareal and Getafe breathing under their neck.
We can expect a great game in Valencia with both teams going for the victory, they will both have the advantage to know what their rivals have done.
