A dramatic and well deserved victory against West Ham last week moved Liverpool onto third in the league standings. Rafael Benitez’s side are three points off Manchester United in second and six points off the leaders Chelsea.

Indeed, a convincing home victory against Stoke proved Liverpool’s intent to challenge the rest of the Big Four. Now Steven Gerrard believes that the future is even brighter for his team. He concluded:
