United’s hopes of a treble was ended cruelly at Old Trafford by Real Madrid. Sir Alex Ferguson refused to speak to the press afterwards. United will now focus on the domestic competitions with the FA Cup surely within their sights. Chelsea is involved in European competition but did not do their chances of winning any good this week by losing to Steaua in Bucharest.
