Boca Juniors vs All Boys Match Report
Boca Juniors defeated All Boys 1-0 at the Bombonera stadium, a result that allowed them to finish the Apertura championship unbeaten, after having won 12 and having drawn 7 of their nineteen matches. It was Boca's first title triumph in three years.
As was expected Boca dominated All Boys for great part of the match, however, they had to wait until the 78th minute to score the winner courtesy of a goal from Dario Cvitanich. The striker connected to a left-sided Walter Erviti cross with a perfectly placed header that left All Boys goalkeeper Nicolas Cambiasso stranded on his goal-line.
The goal was Cvitanich's fifth of the season, making him Boca's leading scorer. The statistic further outlines the fact that Boca's title triumph was brought down to an overall team effort.
All Boys, who only claimed four victories in the Apertura, practically played the entire second half with ten-men due to the dismissal of Uruguayan midfielder Juan Pablo Rodriguez.
