Egypt vs Brazil Match Preview
Brazil will be after their fifth consecutive victory against African champions Egypt in Qatar.

Understrength Brazil beat Gabon 2-0 on Thursday
Brazil will look for their fifth straight win when they take on Egypt in an international friendly match at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium in Qatar on Monday.
Having beaten Gabon 2-0 in Libreville on Thursday, Brazil will face a much stiffer challenge against the African champions. Like against Gabon, Brazil coach Mano Menezes will field a second-string side which includes only European-based players, with such stars like Neymar and Paulo Henrique Ganso missing out, due to club commitments.
Although Brazil have yet to reach fifth gear, they have been in fine form in recent matches. Since the Copa America in July, where Brazil were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Paraguay, Menezes has made several changes to his squad, and against Egypt he will be testing players as he did against Gabon.
On Saturday Brazil centre-back Thiago Silva, who plays for AC Milan, warned that the game won't be so straight forward because of the speed the Africans have in attack.
"It's a tough game. Nowadays you hardly play an easy game, even more with their team, they have fast players in attack. On the counter-attack, we could suffer greatly, but if we're focused and do what we do with our clubs, we'll be able to handle them," Silva declared during a pre-match news conference.
Menezes had initially planned to repeat an identical starting eleven as to the one that beat Gabon. However, an injury sustained by Barcelona defender Adriano means the team will be slightly modified with Alex Santos coming in as his replacement.
Bob Bradley, formerly of the US national team, will make his official debut as coach of Egypt against Brazil. Bradley spent five years as the head coach of the United States, however, after being relieved of his duties in July he accepted an offer to take charge of the Egyptian national team two months later.
Bradley takes over the reigns from Hassan Shehata, who guided Egypt to three consecutive African Cup of Nations titles in 2006, 2008 and 2010 but failed to qualify the team for the World Cup and next year's African Cup of Nations. Bradley is clearly delighted with the opportunity to take on the Brazilians, even if it will be his debut game: "We have to face high caliber teams to improve our displays. I and the players will do our best to make a good impression and get a fine result."
The last time Brazil and Egypt faced each other was in the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup, with Brazil winning the game 3-2.
Egypt vs Brazil Match Report
Jonas scored twice to lead Brazil to a comfortable victory over Egypt in Doha on Monday.

Jonas scored his first two goals for the Selecao
Brazil defeated Egypt 2-0 in an international friendly match staged at the Ahmed bin Ali stadium in Doha on Monday. The Selecao put on a good display, ruining Bob Bradley's official Egypt debut by winning their fifth successive match.
As was expected, Brazil dominated their opponents with free-flowing attacking soccer. Valencia striker Jonas put them ahead in the 39th minute when he tapped home a right-sided cross from Hulk that went across goal. The goal was Jonas' first for the Brazilian national team.
Jonas had another opportunity to double Brazil's lead just seconds after the restart, when he met a sublime through ball, before rounding goalkeeper Ahmed El Shenawy and shooting, but his effort was cleared off the line by Ahmed Hergazi.
But in the 59th minute Jonas had more luck on his side, doubling Brazil's advantage when he poked home a rebound after El Shenawy could only parry a Fernandinho header from a free-kick.
From then on it was all one-way traffic, as the five-time World Cup winners completely outplayed their opponents, creating several clear-cut opportunities to extend their advantage. Although Brazil presented a relatively second-string side they were very competitive and included players that could play an integral part for the Selecao when they host the 2014 World Cup.
As the successor of Hassan Shehata, Bradley has big shoes to fill, as his predecessor won three straight African Cup of Nations titles with Egypt. However, his debut with the Pharaohs left a lot to be desired as his team were no match for the high-flying Brazilians.
Egypt will have an opportunity to avenge the defeat to Brazil as the two teams are scheduled to meet again in February of 2012 in Cairo.
