Viktoria Plzeň vs Barcelona Match Preview
FC Barcelona will be looking to continue their excellent European form when they travel to face FC Viktoria Plzen in the Czech Republic.Barcelona are currently joint top of Group H, while Plzen are six points further back and tied for last place.
Marek Cech is sidelined with a knee injury for Plzen, while goalkeeper Roman Pavlik has returned to full fitness.
Pedro Rodriguez and Ibrahim Afellay are ruled out with injury for Barca, while Xavi Hernandez and Alexis Sanchez are injury doubts.
Lionel Messi and David Villa are fit to play for Barca, and the influential pair have combined for five goals and three assists in the competition so far.
Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola will be taking charge of his 200th game and spoke glowingly this week of his time at the Catalan club.
“I know it will be my 200th match in charge of this great team. I did not expect to be Barcelona coach for such a long time,” Guardiola told the official UEFA website. “Not everything has been perfect during these four years, but we have won lots of trophies together, and that speaks for itself.”
