Real Madrid vs Atlético Madrid Match Preview
The Santiago Bernabeu will host the much-anticipated Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid local derby. Kick-off time for this fixture is at 2:00pm EST and 7:00pm GMT on Saturday, November 26.

Real Madrid enter Saturday's derby against Atletico in a great attacking form.
Jose Mourinho has an array of stars to choose from to compose his starting XI. In midweek, key players such as Iker Casillas and Cristiano Ronaldo were offered full rest.
Others like Mesut Özil and Xabi Alonso only played a portion of the Dinamo Zagreb match and should be fit enough to feature as starters against Atletico. Meanwhile, Brazilian defender Marcelo may return to the squad after enduring the past three weeks on the sidelines.
Another huge boost for Real Madrid is based upon Radamel Falcao’s expected absence from the derby. The Colombian is currently recovering after sustaining an abductor muscle injury while on duty with his national team. As Atletico midfielder Gabi revealed on Friday, “if there is a chance [for Falcao], he will try to play.”
Saturday’s visitors are plotting to upset the great giants of the Spanish capital at the Santiago Bernabeu. Defeating Real Madrid would be a fantastic achievement for Atletico Madrid. They succumbed to heavy defeats away to Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao earlier this season while they failed only just at Getafe on November 6.
However, having secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory against fourth-placed Levante last Sunday, Atletico Madrid are hopeful of getting a result against Mourinho’s men this weekend. They will need to defy all the odds, though.
Real Madrid score an average of 4.8 goals per match at the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga. They’ve clinched maximum points on home soil whereas ninth-placed Atletico are yet to grab their first away point.
Real Madrid have scored 24 home goals and conceded only 6. Atletico Madrid have scored only 2 away goals and allowed 12. If Atletico Madrid avoid defeat on Saturday night, call it a shock. If Real Madrid claim victory, call it a routine…
Real Madrid vs Atlético Madrid Match Report
Real Madrid entered the game knowing that victory over Atletico could take them 6 points above archrivals Barcelona at the end of Matchday 13…

Real Madrid maltreated Atletico with a 4-1 result at the Bernabeu.
Jose Mourinho interestingly chose a 4-2-3-1 formation with Karim Benzema upfront and Marcelo back in defense for the first time in three weeks. The visitors were in to break their 12-year winless record against Los Blancos and they opened up their chances through Adrian.
The young striker finished off a lovely one-two with midfielder Diego with a dazzling strike to stun the home crowd after 15 minutes. However, Atletico Madrid’s good start didn’t last so long.
Thibaut Courtois brought down Karim Benzema in the penalty box and thus received a red card. Cristiano Ronaldo successfully converted the spot kick to equalize for Real Madrid inside the 24th minute.
From there, Atletico Madrid were destined to suffer from their numerical disadvantage. Angel Di Maria celebrated his return to action with a terrific goal early in the second period. The Argentine made justice to Cristiano Ronaldo’s energetic move down the left wing with a shot that rocketed into the roof of the net.
On the hour mark, Mourinho replaced Di Maria with fellow Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain. The latter made an instant impact at the expense of Godin’s mistake. Higuain rounded up Asenjo for Real Madrid’s third goal, making it look so easy!
Godin ended his night on a more miserable note as he got sent off for fouling Higuain in the penalty area 10 minutes from normal time. Cristiano Ronaldo was left with the chance to complete his brace from the spot and he didn’t miss it.
To intensify 9-man Atletico, Real Madrid slowed down the pace of the game. The final result: 4-1.
